1. I'm overwrought with the glory that is Jacks + Jills! Where do I begin?

First things first: create a profile.
Personalize your profile with a photo or avatar, and then answer our invigorating profile questions (Personal anthem? Power color? Guilty Pleasure?)
Next: make your presence known! Add your two cents to our advice arena , submit an original article , or put yourself up for adoption.
There's so much to explore – you might need a cocktail or two.

2. What is a Jack / Jill?

At Jacks + Jills, we celebrate the unique bond between gay men, and the women who love them.
Jacks are gallant gents on the queer end of the spectrum.
Jills are lovely ladies of every rainbow coloration.
Jacks and Jills are both seeking the same thing: deep, meaningful platonic friendships – the kind that bust down barriers, and change the world.

3. How do I find my Jacks / Jills?

We've got countless ways to curate your ideal coterie of Jacks and Jills. You can:
       :: Check out our public adoption page, and see who's up for grabs.
       :: Dish out wisdom (or ask for insights) in our advice forum and check out those peeps you admire.
       :: Create a private Inner Circle , and invite your nearest & dearest to step inside.
       :: Send a membership invitation to beloved comrades, and coax them into joining the J+J family.

4. What the heck is a J-Rank? And how do I increase it?

See that little sparkly jewel, in the upper-right hand corner of your profile?
The color and number of sparklies represents your J-Rank – your level of activity and engagement on Jacks + Jills. To fill your crown, you can:
       :: Submit an article for publication
       :: Ask for advice (or dish it out)
       :: Answer a few more profile questions
       :: Invite a comrade to join Jacks + Jills
       :: Put yourself up for adoption (or adopt a fellow member)

5. I wanna be a star! How do I submit an article and get it buzzing?

We'd love to feature your genius scribblings & musings!
You can submit a 250-750 word article or video for publication. Check out our article topics, and massage your prose accordingly.
Our editorial team will review it, approve it, and slap it up for all to see.
Then it's up to YOU to do a little shameless self-promotion.
Don't fret – once your article has been posted, we'll email you a congratulatory note with some pre-packaged promotional ideas.

6. How do I report a site abuser? What happens to them?

If someone is abusing their Jacks + Jills privileges, or violating our Rules of Decorum , we want to know about it – and fast.
Small-time abusers get a virtual wrist-slap, and a not-so-friendly reminder to play nice, or bunk off.
Big-time abusers get their profiles deactivated. Sayonara, meanies.
We've got the power. And we're not afraid to use it.

7. How secure is my privacy?

Short answer: as secure as you make it.
We encourage Jacks + Jills members to exercise good ol' fashioned common sense: never give out personal info, like your mailing address, bank account number, mother's maiden name, or any of that kinda stuff.
If you're connecting with a Jack or Jill offline (for the very first time), make it a public meet & greet.
